Trade Etiquette and Rules
	Below are the rules that all Swapster members need to know and follow. These rules ensure that Swapster continues to be a safe and fun place to trade items with other members.

Just so you know...

Swapster enables members to trade their items using Swapster Points™.
For the sake of simplicity, the value of one (1) Swapster Point is $1.00 U.S.
Free market rules apply; price your items according to what the market will bear. Low priced items tend to sell faster.
We shall refer to each party in a trade transaction as the 'Buyer' and the 'Seller'.
All members should play the role of both Buyer or Seller at some point.
Liquidity rocks! List a lot of items and create a great experience for all.

With that in mind, here are the basic rules and guidelines for using Swapster.

Honor your Responsiblities as a Seller
The Buyer can only win your item if he/she has sufficient Swapster Points. Once the Buyer wins the item, the Swapster Points are transferred to the Seller and the Buyer has fulfilled all their responsibilities.

As such, the Seller effectively incurs all responsibilties in a transaction.

Responsibilites of the Seller
- ship the item within 48 hours of the purchase time.
- item must arrive in stated, working condition.
- if a Buyer has issues with a transaction, try to work out any issues amicably.
- you may choose to transfer any number of Swapster Points to the Buyer at your discretion. (any feedback for the transaction is deleted when a refund is made by seller)

Kharma (aka Feedback)
Only Buyers may leave feedback regarding a Seller as all responsibilities are incurred by the Seller. However, a Seller may respond to said feedback.

Buyer's should always leave feedback for each item purchased. Please be fair to the Seller and try to work out any issues prior to leaving negative feedback. Negative feedback should be a last resort.

Members receiving or leaving excessive negative feedback may be suspended from using the Swapster Website.

Buyer Protections
If a member offering an item has unfavorable feedback, you may want to avoid purchasing from that member. All posted items display the Member's Feedback Rating. Swapster guarantees the buy transaction to the extent that we will refund the Swapster Points used in the transaction in the event the seller does not ship the item to you.

Away Mode
If you need to take a break from Swapster and will not be checking your trade status, you should hide all your items from your Offer List. This will prevent Buyers from purchasing an item whose Seller is oblivious to what goes on in the world of Swapster.

Be Courteous
When contacting other members, please refrain from profanity, threats, insults, etc. This is a community of people that love books, music, movies, games, etc — we all have common interests and should be respectful of each other. Even when things go wrong, most of the time you can work things out with a little understanding and patience.

Reporting Problems
You may contact Swapster to report any concerns with other Members or with the Website.
